Mission Statement

As a member of the Rhode Island State Nurses Association, the RI Nurse Practitioner Council is a coalition of nurse practitioners working for legislative action which formalize, enhance and protect nurse practitioner professionalism and practice. We strive toward sharing the knowledge among professional colleagues, sponsoring educational programs and conferences for nurse practitioners. The council also promotes the public knowledge of the NP role in providing health care to Rhode Islanders. The council hopes to represent the diverse interest of NP's working in varied settings in Rhode Island.
